Job Description
Requirements: Amphibious Planner for Australia Defense Force and JCTC (Joint and Combined Capability). Exercise planning skills focusing on Amphibious related activities. Relocation to Australia required. CCMD and or CSA exercise experience preferred. Working with Joint forces and or multinational forces also
beneficial.Duties: The Amphibious Planner will be the SME for incorporation of amphibious considerations and support into JCTC planned exercise scenarios. He will have detailed knowledge of Amphibious operations and their application and will ensure that JCTC has full knowledge and remains at the forefront of considerations of amphibious capabilities, R & D and concepts.
The Amphibious Planner will provide subject matter expertise on ADF current and future amphibious related capabilities including all military operations including operations in the Littoral Environment and entry by sea and air; the planned capabilities and limitations associated with the Joint Amphibious Task force and the Landing Helicopter Dock including Initial Operating Capabilities including Amphibious Ready Element (ARE) and Ready Group (ARG) implementation and implications, preparation and certification continuum being developed by DJFHQ and the capability management cycle; scalable deployment options for a JTF; and understanding of sea echelon areas and beach landing sites suitable for ARG/ARE use.
The Amphibious Planner will also provide subject matter expertise on Air Warfare Destroyer, Joint Fires and Naval Gunfire Support, Logistics over the shore, Naval Electronic Warfare and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance training, and Naval Reception, Staging, Onward Movement and Integration (RSO and I) requirements and US/Allied amphibious operations and planning process.
