Qualification
My client is an international chemical company, operating in over 80 countries and employing over 25,000 staff. They are now looking to add a Security Manager to lead their fast developing Indian operation, to work and partner with the Territory and Country Functions Leadership Teams.Duties include
•Implement Assets, People, Product and Information (APPI) security programs, including securing the required resources to ensure an appropriate level of security for all functions across the territory
•Ensure consistent application of APPI security programs in the territory to mitigate security risks
•Monitor, evaluate and report the effectiveness of security solutions
•Be proactive and a catalyst for new and innovative thinking around security within the territory
•Facilitate the development of territory security strategies, by driving the functional activities of people in charge of country and/or site security in the territory (Site Security Managers, Information Security Officers, Anti-Counterfeiting Point-of-Contact).
•Lead the cultural change toward security to sustainably improve security behaviour
Operational responsibility
•Work closely with the Regional Security Manager in order to implement APPI security programs
•Lead security risk assessments (Security 360°) implementation in the territory
•Support countries/sites within the territory during the formal annual review process
•Assist the Corporate Security team with the implementation of the Security Policy and Codes of Practice to comply with regulatory requirements and limit or reduce damage
•Manage the production and timely delivery of territory security performance reports at territory compliance and risk management committee meetings and use the reports to lead and facilitate discussions with key stakeholders on the territory security challenges and activities
•Observe and assess the security situation in the territory and establish a proactive reporting process to inform Regional Security Managers of any emerging security threats
•Establish, supported by Corporate Security, an effective incident report management process
•Lead responses to incidents as they arise and related investigations in close collaboration with the Regional Security Manager
•Provide security advice and support for high-level event in the territory
•Establish, implement and maintain an external stakeholder (law enforcement, security colleagues, agribusiness peers and association) strategy in collaboration with the Regional Security Manager
•Act as the Territory Lead in the Security Mindset Change Program
•Influence the territory organization through proactive use of impactful risk-based-intelligence-led security communication to increase security performance
•Leverage existing resources (i.e.: HSE) to ensure security sustainability
•Drive major security change and improvement in territory by providing strategic security direction
•Demonstrate, document and provide assurance to stakeholders that the territory has an effective security framework
•Address security risks arising at territory and country level
•Manage projects and deliver on time with high stakeholder satisfaction
Additional information
•Largely office based, although site visits are likely to be required (the nature and location of which will vary depending on the requirements of the country geography)
•Likely to participate in out-of-office conferences and networking opportunities
•Readiness for international travel
