Mission Essential Personnel is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist/ Office Manager, responsible for managing all personnel administrative duties and security processing in support of U.S. government contract providing linguists and translators to U.S. military forces. The candidate will complete security clearance packages on behalf of MEP ULC personnel and processing via the Canadian Industrial Security Service, tracking until completion and providing regular status reports to MEP U.S. Security supervisor.
Essential Duties
• Manage office and administrative responsibilities.
• Process all security requirements.
• Serve as liaison between MEP HR, Recruiting, and other departments of MEP and our Canadian recruits until their successful deployment to our U.S. deployment center.
• All other tasks and duties as assigned.
• Employee must be detail orientated and organized and must demonstrate time management as well as office administrative skills.
• This position requires the employee to understand verbal and written instructions. The employee must have the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner as well as the ability to meet deadlines when applicable.
• Employee is required to communicate and work effectively with other employees and display strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Employee must be able to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality with the upmost integrity.
• Position will require employee to operate in a fast pace environment.
• Employee must be able to supervise other staff members as necessary.
• Employee is required to sit for the majority of the working hours, and complete tasks electronically.
• Employee must be well versed in word processing and excel programs.
• Employee must have an understanding of security guidelines provided by INSCOM and government contract requirements as well as knowledge of government acronyms.
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma.
• Security or intelligence experience helpful.
• 2-4 years industrial work experience desired.
• Current Security Clearance preferred: Ability to hold and maintain a security clearance mandatory.
• Must be a Canadian citizen.
