Job Description: Advantage SCI is accepting applications for qualified Spanish-speaking Criminal Investigations Training Instructors to assist a federal agency supporting criminal investigation training in Central America. Qualified individuals will have experience in international law enforcement/training and will be fully capable of providing services related to tactical training, curriculum development, and customized technical assistance. Instructors will support the mission requirements set forth by a federal government contract, as it relates to “high crimes.”
Summary of duties include:Conducting training in Spanish in a foreign country
Instructing in a classroom and/or field setting
Bi-weekly student evaluation reports to include feedback and recommendations for future training and improvement, as well as end-of-performance reports
Adjusting to changing U.S. and foreign agency needs based on current international and political circumstances, technologies, and law enforcement emphasis
Minimum Requirements:
Must be fluent in Spanish (minimum 3/3/3) and have excellent reading, writing, and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English
Teaching experience and ability to deliver classroom and practical training in Spanish
Must possess a valid United States (U.S.) Passport
Must be able and willing to travel to Central America on short notice
Ability to commit to teaching schedules within a short time frame (i.e., matter of days to weeks), for approximately two-week courses
15 years of law enforcement experience with a single federal, state, or local law enforcement agency, with at least 10 of those years in investigations
Five (5) years of experience training U.S. and/or foreign law enforcement officers in the area of investigations and general law enforcement training programs
Ability to pass a background check for disciplinary, criminal, and credit issues
Ability to produce up-to-date medical records
Be in excellent health
Ability to pass a medical and psychological evaluation
