They have recently announced that it has right to acquire a controlling interest in a ruby deposit based in Southern Africa.
The Project comprises five mining titles (made up of both mining and exploration rights). Mining has to date taken place on a relatively small and informal scale and the Vendor now wishes to scale up the operation.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for security of the area with more than 300 Sqkm. This will involve strict vigilance on the area, implementing new sets of procedures and appointing new team members
• Responsible for security of production related areas and product movement, including transportation of products. This is new project and hence the production will take some time to commence
• Oversee the security network; safeguard the company’s assets, intellectual property as well as the physical safety of employees and visitors.
• Identify protection goals, objectives and metrics consistent with corporate strategic plan.
• Manage the development and implementation of global security policy, standards, guidelines and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security. Physical responsibilities will include asset protection, workplace violence prevention, access control systems, video surveillance, and more. Information protection responsibilities will include network security, network access and monitoring policies, employee education and awareness and more.
• Work with other executives to prioritize security initiatives and spending based on appropriate risk management and/or financial methodology.
• Maintain relationships with local and state law enforcement and other related Government agencies.
• Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches and assist with disciplinary and legal matter associated with such breaches as necessary.
• Work with outside consultants as appropriate for independent security audits.

Requirements:
• Must possess relevant professional and educational qualifications applicable to the post.
• A former military officer from rank of Major and above
• Must be intelligent, articulate and a persuasive leader who can serve as an effective member of the senior management team and who is able to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
• Should have experience with business continuity planning, auditing and risk management, as well as contract and vendor negotiation.
• Must have strong working knowledge of pertinent law and the law enforcement community.
• Must have a solid understanding of information technology and information security.

SALARY PACKAGE
• Gross Basic Salary - USD65,000 – USD75,000, depending on previous experience
• Taxation – 30%
• Family status - Single
• Contract tenure - 5 years, renewable
• Leave - 54 calendar days per annum
• LTA - Two return tickets per annum

• All other costs are covered by the company, including free medical incountry, food, soft furnishings, etc. You will be covered under the group accident insurance policy as per the norms of the Company
