Job Description Work from special and standard procedures, NFPA Codes, OSHA, DOE orders, written and verbal instruction from supervision or physicians, emergency calls and training. Perform administrative functions such as document all emergency call activities. Perform work functions such as provide emergency care, treatment, advance life support and medical transportation for SRS personnel. Maintain equipment and supplies in constant state of readiness. Maintain, inspect, inventory and sanitize EMS equipment. Respond to site emergency, ambulance calls, and all site fires or fire alarms. Inspect all buildings for fire hazards or hazardous conditions. Perform fire protection functions such as inspecting, testing and maintaining all fire equipment. Work with pressurized cylinders and associated charging stations. Check and refill fire extinguishers. Routinely work in radiological controlled areas. Drive and operate heavy mobile fire equipment including trucks with associated pumps and specialized
rescue and hazardous materials equipment. Must maintain a valid state driver’s license and Q security clearance in order to drive a Emergency Response Equipment Vehicle. Perform administrative functions such as read and comply with NFPA Codes and Standards, OSHA and DOE orders, building plans and job plans.

Basic Qualifications
(Quantifiable; e.g. Three Years Experience, Bachelors Degree) (Quantifiable; e.g. Three Years Experience, Bachelors Degree)”>High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid State Driver’s License. Must be a SC state certified paramedic or the ability to obtain reciprocity from SC DHEC (i.e. National Registry). Must be a State Certified Firefighter (NFPA Level I & II ), Haz-Mat Operations Level or greater, and possess current CPR Certification and provide documentation for all of the aforementioned. Fire Department personnel may consider other individual certifications or qualifications on a case-by-case basis contingent upon a review of course content. Must be physically capable of completing a physical ability test. Must be physically fit and capable of passing a fitness test to include: – Treadmill Test – Push-ups – Sit-ups – Flexibility – Body Fat Composition – Balance – Grip Strength. Must be certified by Medical as meeting the medical requirements of National Fire Protection Association 1582, “Standard on Medical Requirements for Firefighters”. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance and become enrolled in the site Human Reliability Program (HRP).
