Job Description
The MET I/O/M shall perform all tasks required to instruct, support, and assist unit crews through all the training requirements for the MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) Egress Trainers. The selected candidate will also operate and perform preventive and periodic maintenance on the MET IAW Technical documentation to ensure devices are fully mission capable.
Specific Duties Include:
· Provide program planning, schedules, instructional techniques, and field service support for the MET
· Present classroom theory and hands-on instruction that encompasses vehicle familiarization; safe operations; drivers training on the MRAP vehicles to include starting, stopping, driving, and PMCS (preventative maintenance checks and services), operation of each crew station, and organizational maintenance procedures
· Develop and prepare course curricula, lesson plans, student guides, and audio visual aids in support of lesson material and examinations
· Perform other duties as assigned by site manager or lead
· Perform all tasks required to assist Units crew through all the training requirements for the MET
· Perform preventive and periodic maintenance on the MET IAW Technical documentation to ensure devices are fully mission capable
· Prepare, consolidate, edit, and review reports related to training
Required Knowledge/Skills:
· Minimum of four (4) years maintenance experience on tracked/wheeled vehicles
· Must meet ASR guidelines for driver’s station entry as described in Standard Practice 2-644 and be able to climb onto and into enclosed military vehicles and assist students climbing onto and into the MET simulator.
· Must be willing to work effectively in a team-oriented structure to include in field, office, and shop environments on military installations
· Capable of operating in a multi-cultural environment
· Experience in giving formal instruction
· Exhibit PC capabilities to include the use of electronic mail on Lotus Notes, Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
· The trainers must be in physical condition suitable to function on the MET simulator and be able to withstand extreme temperatures and weather conditions daily in Kyrgyzstan.
· Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
· Prior military service
· Tracked/wheeled vehicle maintenance experience
· Multicultural experience desired
Required Education:
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Will consider an additional 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of educational requirements
WORK HOURS: 60 hours a week – 10 hours per day for 6 days.
