• Train and advise battery and platoon commanders train battery and platoon commanders on their roles in the tactical planning process, Reconnaissance, Selection and Occupation of Position (RSOP), battery command and control, battery operations center (BOC) and platoon operations center (POC) operation, and logistics.
• Train and advise platoon level operations, to include, Reconnaissance, Selection and Occupation of Position (RSOP), resupply/reload, convoy operations, crew level maintenance, firing procedures, and emergency procedures.
• Responsible for the development of POIs, lesson plans, slides, and student handouts.

1. Conducts training sessions and assists in evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
2. Coordinates logistics for instruction events, including scheduling classes, reserving classrooms, and preparing workstations.
3. Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness.
4. May participate in the development and establishment of course content and objectives.
5. Updates course documentation as needed to ensure timeliness and relevance.
6. Provides guidance and work leadership to less experienced instructors.
7. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
8. Participates in special projects as required.

Associates Degree, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience.

Retired/ former senior NCO Army MLRS/HIMARS operator (13M), Marine Field Artillery Cannoneer, US Army Warrant Officer (131A), or Marine Warrant Officer (0803).
• Shall possess the equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities of a HIMARS battery first sergeant (1SG) with combat experience.
• Shall have two years’ experience as either a trainer in HIMARS launcher platoons in a HIMARS battalion transformation program and HIMARS POI developer, and/or experience as a battery/platoon/launcher crew instructor at the U.S Army Field Artillery School
• Must have completed the Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course or the US Marine Corp equivalent.
• Must be able to train battery and platoon commanders on their roles in the tactical planning process, Reconnaissance, Selection and Occupation of Position (RSOP), battery command and control, battery operations center (BOC) and platoon operations center (POC) operation, and logistics.
• Must have advanced knowledge of platoon level operations, to include, Reconnaissance, Selection and Occupation of Position (RSOP), resupply/reload, convoy operations, crew level maintenance, firing procedures, and emergency procedures.
• Master Gunner Qualified (ASI- A7) highly desired.
• HIMARS maintainer/repairer certified, highly desired.
• Physically fit with ability to present a professional military appearance and bearing.
• Medical physical exam within the last 12-months with no chronic conditions that would prevent performance of duties in a semi-austere, seasonably very-hot environment with limited access to “western standard” medical care. • Ability to present proof of negative HIV test within 90 days of traveling overseas.
• Must possess a current US Tourist Passport. (Passport must not expire within 12-months of being hired.)
• Candidate must be drug-free with ability to successfully pass drug screening test.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Ability to effectively conduct cross-cultural communications and deliver training/instruction with the use of an interpreter.

• Retired/ former Army or Marine HIMARS Senior NCO or Warrant Officer
• HIMARS First Sergeant or equivalent
• Prior experience conducting cross-cultural communications and delivering training/instruction with the use of an interpreter.
• Prior experience developing military instructional material.
