EOD Instructor / SME

Job Description
Contingent opportunity. GDIT is looking for up to four accredited EOD Instructors for up to 18 months to train a cadre of EOD personnel for the Bosnians. Work will probably start in early summer 2013.
All team members must have a minimum of an active Secret clearance. Pay is competitive with your choice of benefits (401K, Medical, Dental, Eye, Disability, AD&D). Potential follow-on work. If you are interested please forward an updated resume.

Job Description: Serve as member of an EOD Instructor Team training up to 90 personnel over 18 months to become EOD Capable personnel IAW established NATO Standards.

General Qualifications
a. Must have at least 4 years as a Team Leader in EOD units.
b. Must have at least 8-10 years of relevant EOD experience with either the U.S. Military or other Federal Government agencies to demonstrate the ability to meet the duties described above.
c. Must have excellent written and oral communications skills. Accredited Instructor Trainer Couse graduate preferred.
d. Possess experience with the Balkan area, culture, and military organization preferred. Established experience training Bosnians preferred.

Specific Qualifications:
a. Must be a graduate of a US EOD School, recognized by NAVSCOL EOD.
b. Must be a Master EOD Badge recipient
c. Must have a minimum of four year’s experience in the following tasks:
o Locating, identifying, rendering safe and disposing of foreign and domestic conventional, biological, chemical, or nuclear ordnance and IEDs and large vehicle bombs.
o Conducting intelligence gathering operations on first seen ordnance and IEDs.
o Researching and identifying ordnance using explosive ordnance disposal technical publications.
o Detecting the presence of and identifying chemical agents.
o Preparing and maintaining explosive ordnance disposal tools, equipment, and vehicles.
o Assisting in operating an Emergency Contamination Control Station and Emergency Personnel Decontamination Station.
o Assisting in locating and gaining access to buried ordnance.
o Supervising and providing technical guidance to less experience soldiers. Performing radiological monitoring. Reading and interpreting x-rays, diagrams, drawings, and other technical information on explosive ordnance.
o Conducting formal instruction to military and civilian audiences.
o Assisting in preparation of technical intelligence and incident reports.
