Position Summary

Purpose of the job:
To lead and manage the crime investigation team and coordinate the investigation of all crime at the Sasol Secunda Complex
Required outputs: Functional:
Planning of work and co-ordination of the investigation teams
Advise management of crime related risks and issues
Initiate risk assessments from investigations and other crime related activities and recommend appropriate counter measures
Build relationships, ensure SLC’s are adhered to and provide feedback to clients and stakeholders
Ensure audits and inspections are conducted
Provide support and guidance to teams with a focus on coaching, mentoring, performance management (KPI’s) and career discussions
Perform investigations where required
Ensure Commercial Crime Prevention Committee (CCPC) initiatives are implemented and provide input where necessary
Give evidence in disciplinary hearings and court proceedings
Crime scene management
Ensure trend analysis of crime incidents
Maintain sound investigative administrative standards
Liaise with external organizations, authorities and forums
Ensure that policies and procedures are complied with
Provide investigation status reports
Job Requirements
Qualifications required (Must):
Grade 12
National Diploma in Security Management or equivalent
Advanced investigation course
Registration with PSIRA (Grade C) / SAQA and NKP (will be an advantage)
Fire Arm Competency
Drivers License
Specific experience required:
7-8 years proven investigation experience - SAPS / Security of which 3 years in a controlling position
