Job Description
Requirements:
Candidate must be able to safely and effectively perform the duties of an aircraft mission coordinator without supervision. Ability to coordinate flight schedules, airspace, resources, frequency management, and other aspects of flight operations. FAA licenses or certificates such as private pilot, commercial pilot, instrument rating, CFI, CFI-I, A&P are highly desirable. Basic computer skills are required, computer networking experience is desired. Must communicate effectively with internal and external customers both verbally and in writing, and possess strong leadership skills.
Minimum requirement is that the candidate holds at least one of the following certifications:
UAS Operator
UAS Maintainer
FAA A&P License
FAA Private Pilot Certificate
Prior qualification as an unmanned aircraft operator or maintainer is highly desired. Candidates holding two or more of the above certifications are highly desired.
Experience in maintenance and repair of unmanned air vehicle systems a plus.
Prior military service a desired plus. JSOC experience preferred.
Familiarity with customer expectations, policies, and business practices and high customer satisfaction orientation.
Must be able to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.
Job Duties:
Will serve as on-site Mission Coordinator in support of customer requirements. Responsible for the safe and successful conduct of all missions. May be expected to qualify and maintain operator currency on UAS aircraft.
Primary duties will require extensive travel, both domestically and internationally including deployments and training exercises and include (but not limited to):
Airspace coordination and de-confliction
Frequency de-confliction
Obtaining current and forecast weather conditions
Performing risk assessment and mitigation
Obtaining or verifying mission approval
Accomplishing other customer-directed mission requirements
Travel and deploy worldwide with military forces as required
Direct interface with customer
Work in groups or independently with minimal or no supervision
Will be required to work odd shifts, weekends, and/or extended hours
Responsible for data management and generation
Practice ISO 9001 principles and concepts
