Background:
Social Impact (SI) is a Washington, DC-area international development management consulting firm. We provide a full range of innovative program evaluation, management consulting, technical assistance, and training services to strengthen international development programs, organizations and policies. Our global services are in the areas of democracy and governance, health and education, agriculture, the environment, and economic growth.
Objective:
SI is currently seeking an individual with team leader experience that has conducted evaluations in Latin America, specifically in Colombia, related to Disarmament, Demobilization, and Reintegration. The position is expected to last for two months with an anticipated field work for one month. SI is seeking a team leader who has experience leading large, complex, and politically sensitive evaluations.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
The team leader is expected to manage field team work, deliverables, finalize evaluation designs and work plan, determine evaluation interviews, tools, and managing and interpreting quantitative data collection and analysis process, and preparing draft and final reports according to USAID Standards.
Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree, PhD preferred but not required, in fields relating to international development, peace and conflict resolution
• 10-15 years of professional experience working on evaluation projects for donor agencies
• At least 10 years of experience working specifically on Disarmament, Demobilization, and Reintegration
• Level 3-4 Spanish fluency; Fluency in English
• Experience working in Latin America, preferably in Colombia
• Previous team leader positions required
