Senior Foreign Military Trainer/ Site Manager

Location: IRBIL, IQ
Travel: 10 – 20%

Position Description:
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a retired or former Engineer, Maintenance, Transportation, Special Forces or Civil Affairs Command Sergeant Major, or with a comparable level of responsibility, to serve as the Team Lead on the Iraq Regional Guard Bridge (RGB) Security Assistance Training Team.This Security Assistance Training Team is being provided to the Iraq Army in support of increasing the capabilities of the Iraqi Armed Forces. This training team is being provided as part of a Security Assistance Training Program that directly supports US Foreign Policy and the execution of Department of Defense Security Cooperation Plans and Programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage the development of instructional material to include training schedules and lesson plans.
· Responsible for the performance oversight of a multi functional Security Assistance Training Team providing New Equipment Training on items of equipment provided by the US Government to the Iraqi Regional Guard Brigade.
· Manage day to day operations in support of training delivery and personnel life support.
· Lead the entire team to accomplish the tasks herein and for overall management of team responsibilities to achieve the standards of this PWS.· Submit reports and after action reports.
· Interface with Senior Host Nation Military leaders in order to facilitate all training.· Serve as Senior Advisor to host nation military counterparts.For over ten years, AMERICAN SYSTEMS has supported the delivery of training services to foreign military personnel in support of US foreign assistance programs. We offer a very competitive compensation and benefit package and there are no upfront out of pocket expenses for persons hired. All travel and transportation arrangements will be made and paid for by AMERICAN SYSTEMS. Persons hired will be full-time salaried employees of AMERICAN SYSTEMS. There is no requirement/authorization to carry firearms.

Position Requirements:
· Engineer, Maintenance, Transportation, Special Forces, or Civil Affairs Command Sergeant Major or have a comparable level of responsibility.
· Physically fit with ability to present a professional military appearance and bearing.
· C-JTSCC 952.225-0009 Medical Screening And Vaccination Requirements For Contractor Employees Operating In The CENTCOM Area Of Responsibility (AOR)(Aug 2011) · Must possess a current US Tourist Passport. (Passport must not expire within 12-months of being hired.)
· Candidate must be drug-free with ability to successfully pass drug screening test.
· Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
· Ability to effectively conduct cross-cultural communications and deliver training/instruction with the use of an interpreter. 


Background / Experience Requirements:
· Retired/ former US Army Engineer, Maintenance, Transportation, Special Forces, or Civil Affairs Command Sergeant Major (CSM/E9)
· Prior experience conducting cross-cultural communications and delivering training/instruction. with the use of an interpreter.
· Prior experience as a military instructor in the related skill is highly desired.· Prior experience developing military instructional material.
· Prior experience working with and training foreign military personnel is highly desired.
· Prior experience working with foreign military personnel in the region is highly desired.
