Security Intelligence Manager

Job purpose and key deliverables 
The role provides a continuous, coordinated and comprehensive intelligence management service, ensuring that intelligence is collected, analysed and disseminated to counter threats to personnel, assets, business operations and activities within SA in a timely and cost effective manner. This role supports the Area Security Manager in Southern Africa within professional scope. 

Key Responsibilitiese include the following:The provision of a first class business security intelligence network and the maintenance of internal and external relationships necessary to support the process.
Consultation with senior business leaders within Marketing regarding their security concerns and requirements for the protection of company personnel, families and visitors.
Direct and assist in the provision of risk and threat assessments in order to provide the basis for risk mitigation and avoidance strategies and policies within the Marketing operation. Develop and maintain Priority Intelligence Requirements and collect intelligence against these, using the full range of collection tools, sources and agencies at your disposal.
Manage and develop relationships with SAPS and other Law Enforcement agencies.
Continuously review, implement and maintain effective intelligence policy, procedures and best practices to contribute to the safety and protection of personnel, assets, information and business.
Develop supportive, business integrated culture in the intelligence team and lead them as a key supporting function adding value to the business following British American Tobacco’s guiding principles.

Assist or ensure that expert intelligence assistance is provided, as required, to local Top Teams in any country within the Area.

Develop synergy with other functions for alignment and integration with all levels to enable business excellence.

Build an effective internal network and proactively provide intelligence and other possible support to all functions to achieve their business objectives and the integration of intelligence and risk management within the business.

Essential requirements
Relevant B degree or a relevent Security Management diploma.
Desirable requirements In depth, comprehensive knowledge of intelligence and security management, combined with progressively responsible and relevant experience in police, military service or corporate security in the private sector.
Expert understanding of intelligence processes, the intelligence cycle and the production of intelligence products.
Ability to identify and address key security issues to support strategic business needs.
A high level of communications skills with ability to explain and defend difficult issues with respect to key decisions and complex concepts.
