PSU Training Advisor

PAE and INL seek a PSU Training Advisor who will be expected to provide periodic reports as determined by the Lead PSU Training Advisor and ERU/PSU Project Manager. The PSU Training Advisor will also be expected to conduct actual classroom and dynamic scenario training exercises, under the supervision of the Lead PSU Training Advisor.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
Developing lesson plans and learning objectives consistent with the training course outline and curriculum established for the training regimen;
Conducting classroom, field, and dynamic scenario training for PSU members with a focus on identifying, developing and training PSU trainers;
Advising and mentoring the LNP PSU team members on training, operational, and logistical functions;
Collaborating with UNMIL UNPOL and LNP training staff to ensure the success of the training mission;
Other duties and responsibilities as may be determined by the COR in conjunction with the CO and agreed upon by UNMIL UNPOL, the U.S. Embassy, INL, and the LNP. Required Qualifications: 
Must have five years of police experience in a full-service law enforcement agency, excluding training;
Must have experience as a trainer in areas such as responding to civil disorder, providing VIP and/or facilities protection, or similar;
Must have experience in a tactical operation unit, that is, Emergency Response Team, Special Weapons and Tactics Team, or High Risk Entry Team;
Must be able to communicate in English with accuracy and fluency in order to participate fully and effectively in conversations on a variety of topics in formal and informal settings from both concrete and abstract perspectives;
Must be able to discuss their interests and special fields of competence, explain complex matters in detail, and provide lengthy and coherent narrations, all with ease, fluency, and accuracy. If a verification of English competency is requested by INL, candidates must receive a superior level rating from the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL); and
In possession of a valid driving license for at least one year.
Must be able to be medically cleared to serve on contract
Must be able to obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust Certificate
Must be able to successfully pass a phyisical agility test

Desired Qualifications and Experience in one or more of the following areas:
Senior management/senior level command experience;
Project development;
Executive leadership development;
Community policing and outreach;
Armed police support and specialized units;
Train-the-trainer;
Intelligence;
Crime analysis;
Traffic management; and
Police reform and restructuring.
Training experience in any of the above areas is an asset.
