Controller, Tactical Automated Security System (TASS)

Job Description:
The Tactical Automated Security System (TASS) Controller provides full operational oversight of the Tactical Automated security System in support of perimeter security operations of a Military facility. Additionally, the TASS Controller provides Armed Static Security services of the perimeter of a Military facility to include guard post surveillance, Check Point security and entry/exit security as needed. This individual has no law enforcement officer authority, and has no arrest or apprehension powers. He/she is armed with a side arm, shotgun, or other weapons as required by the contract. The position will report to the designated senior armed guard/shift leader.

Reguirements:
Secret Level Security Clearance
US Citizens Only
Must be trained as a Armed Static Security Guard with additional certification as a Controller/Operator TASS

Trained in accordance with DoD and US Army standards, and compliant with all training standards in SD 538-2
All personnel must be able to perform Static security functions to include Check point, Surveillance post and entry/exit operations. Must be able to work a 12 hour operational shift
Guard personnel will provide static security to include checkpoint, entry/exit and guard post surveillance

Physical Requirements:
Lift a minimum of 50 lbs with full gear.
Austere and extreme environment

Other Requirements:
Unexpired US Passport (6 month minimum)
Willing to Travel as required
Successful completion of the following: Physical fitness test, pre-employment background check, criminal record check, drug screen. Habitual misdemeanors will receive negative recommendations.

Responsibilities:
Shift lead operator for TASS. Additionally, Performs Static Guard Services at a Military facility as required. Duties include guarding government owned or leased buildings and property, protecting government equipment and material, and controlling access to government installations by employees, visitors, and residents. He/she will participate in shift Guard Mount, receive assigned post and any special instructions. Executes general and special orders for assigned post. Communicates orally face-to-face, via radio and telephone according to orders. Required to operate effectively in a foreign country environment, sensitive to cultural differences.

Education and Work Experience:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Completed operations training for TASS with deployment experience in the operation and control/set up of the TASS system.
Must have two (2) Years of TASS Controller Experience in the Armed Guard/Force Protection Industry Plus two ( + 2) Years of Armed Guard Experience, Or 2 Years of US Military Experience (Honorable Discharge) Or 2 Years of Law Enforcement Experience.
Have previous weapons training with side arm, rifle & shotgun and be able to pass required proficiency tests or related certifications.
