•Follow and enforce the Security policies and procedures in accordance with the department’s goals and the company’s overall objectives and strategy.
•Responsible to coordinate the staff reporting to him in providing the following specific services:
# Physical Security (of property, assets, facilities and through guarding entries/exits)
# Security Patrols
# Security Investigations
# Arresting and Holding Intruders
•Assist SHE Superintend in preparing the budget for security section by defining security requirements based on forecasting changes in the facilities (e.g. expansions, degradation in security equipment etc.).
•Establish labor requirements and staffing levels to organize work and achieve a good workload for the team and supply this report to the SHE Superintend.
•Review the security procedures at the Business Unit site and assist the SHE in the revision of security procedures at the Business Unit.
•Ensure that security control points and closed circuit television (CCTV) systems are monitored, operating properly, and tested periodically in order to protect employees and visitors.
•Ensure proper auditing systems are in place to monitor security checks (e.g. security inspection checklists for checking badges/documents of visitors, approved visit passes for employee visitors etc.) for compliance with policies and procedures.
•Supervise Security Crew in assigning appropriate Security Officers or guards to various posts (based on their unique abilities and strengths) throughout the site while maintaining site efficiency and ensuring security personnel comply with stated procedures.
•Ensure proper shift coverage on a rotating basis and liaise with departments with respect to security requirements and concerns.
•Coordinate security patrols covering all plant areas and limited access areas (due to sensitivity of equipment and/or information contained within) to ensure access to such areas are per business unit need.
•Perform investigation of incidents involving unauthorized individuals, or purposeful intruders or Security Officer non-compliance issues ensuring corrective action and recommendations for procedural changes as necessary for the prevention of future similar incidents.
•Investigate workplace violence and threats of crime against the company (i.e. bomb threats) and provide detailed reports of investigative findings to SHE Superintend
•Prepare reports for management showing response of police authorities in cases of emergencies, breaches of security, vehicle accidents, thefts to take individual arrested and held for questioning for police to take.
•Ensure technical training is provided to security personnel as directed by the technical services Manager via superintendent in order to maintain security awareness and technical expertise required for operations.
•Facilitate the development and coaching of advanced working methods by continually refining security training programs to meet evolving security methods.
•Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and company expectations by serving as the liaison with the local government’s police station or traffic department.
•Coordinate with security officials at Interior Ministry for government visitors to the Plant or site to ensure their security for the visit.
•Respond to security issues during weekends and off-hours and attempt to resolve them.
•Provide guidance and leadership to all section employees to ensure effective and efficient flow of work
Skills
•Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement, Security or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.or high school with minimum 10 years of related experiance •Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of security related to: use of security equipment, managing security officers, arresting intruders, inspection and verification of passes, profiling potential intruders, first aid and physical fitness.
•Knowledge of all equipments and devices used in security measures (e.g. batons, CCTVs and alarms).
• industry experience is preferred.
