The Role:
You will continuously review, refine, develop and implement the Group's Protective Security framework and services to ensure the protection of all Group staff, premises and assets both domestically and internationally, including subsidiaries where the Group is the major stakeholder. You will manage and lead the Group's Security Operations Centre to ensure the delivery of a commercial, cost effective and efficient global security and incident monitoring centre that excels in customer service. You will provide Protective Security related metrics, risk reporting and assurance to enable management oversight of the framework effectiveness. In this position you will be responsible to ensure:
Influence and embed innovation, productivity, knowledge management, thought leadership and trust and team spirit into the Group Security culture.
Develop and grow your direct reports and other high performing staff.
Apply CBA's people management systems to effectively manage such issues as occupational health and safety, recruiting and on boarding new staff, setting KRA's and KPI's, creating development plans, supervising work, providing feedback formally and informally, carrying out disciplinary procedures when necessary, recognising and rewarding staff, etc.
Create and sustain effective business relationships with key customers across the Group.
Develop and implement a change management/customer engagement model to promote protective security concepts, services and solutions.
Participate in Industry and Government Working Groups to ensure alignment of strategies and adoption of best practice through effective benchmarking.
Analyse customer feedback and develop customer action plans to enhance the performance and relevance of Group Security to meet business unit requirements.

The Team:
The Protective Security & Group Business Continuity Management team is responsible for providing the strategic and operational leadership necessary to design, drive and maintain an effective, efficient and highly valued protective security risk management practice and business continuity, crisis and incident management capability for the Group.
Develop and implement your annual business plan and associated business cases for project spend or other consultancy support for key initiatives.
Provide global strategic leadership and ensure the operational effectiveness of policies, standards and procedures with respect to protective security, including compliance with relevant prudential and global industry standards.
Manage the planning, execution and completion of protective security services in accordance with GS Standard Operating Procedures and relevant industry standards
Proactively manage the protective security risks of all Group assets, both domestically and internationally, and provide commercial, relevant, comprehensive, reliable and timely advice to BUs to improve controls
Monitor the implementation of actions by the business in collaboration with BU Risk Management and provide analysis and commentary for fraud and security reports to relevant BU's and Risk Committee as required
Maintain an up to date focus on global protective security risks and related emerging trends and issues, and ensure appropriate plans are put in place to mitigate these emerging risks

The Candidate:
We are seeking an experienced people leader, that has the following skill set and qualifications:
Sound MS Office suite skills (Word, Project, Excel & PowerPoint)
Tertiary qualifications in security practice, business and economics, security risk management and/or demonstrated experience in a protective security discipline
Security consultant license (or the ability to acquire one)
Financial services industry based knowledge and experience
Proven experience managing third party providers and complex technology environments
Demonstrated understanding of protective security issues within the banking and finance industry
The capacity to make decisions and solve problems to achieve outcomes
The ability to engage people effectively
Demonstrated ability to work in a geographically and culturally diverse environment
Strong internal and external customer service ethic and focus
