Job Description
Role Description The Senior Director Global Security (Senior Director) will serve as the principal security officer for Pfizer Animal Health (PAH), reporting to the Legal Department. The Senior Director will have full responsibility for all PAH security operations, including protection of the Company’s workforce, products, real and intellectual property, facilities and reputation. Initially the Senior Director will potentially oversee provision of global security services to PAH through a Transitional Services Agreement (TSA) with Pfizer Global Security and will, in collaboration with Pfizer Global Security, coordinate appropriate security responses. During this initial period, the Senior Director will formulate a long-term strategy to best address enterprise security for Zoetis, and, on a regular basis, brief PAH management on internal and external security issues and recommendations for their resolution.
Responsibilities Act as primary liaison with Pfizer Global Security to coordinate effective global delivery of security services under the TSA. Develop and implement security policies and programs to protect the Company’s workforce, products, real and intellectual property and reputation, including:
Lead asset protection activities to enhance corporate value while protecting the brand
Establish physical security standards to safeguard the Company’s assets
Implement and oversee site security standards and programs. Develop and oversee investigative programs for product counterfeiting, diversion and tampering as well as thefts from the supply chain and investigations of possible criminal activities, such as those associated with HR and Compliance issues
Develop and oversee an executive protection program
Develop, maintain and ensure sound liaison with senior government, law enforcement and regulatory officials, both in-country and throughout the regions
Select, train and manage consultants or vendors as required, to include drafting RFPs, negotiating contracts, providing leadership and guidance once retained, and ensuring critical review of work product and invoices submitted
Liaise with various business units within Zoetis, informing senior management of the formulation and implementation of security policies, objectives and best practices as required; set expectations with clients and then execute to meet those expectations
Coordinate and collaborate with appropriate business stakeholders to address crisis management and business continuity activities
Develop, oversee and coordinate a financial budget for Global Security
Determine appropriate levels of staffing and outsourcing/vendors for the Company’s security program
Facilitate Crisis Management awareness through SSO’s at the site level
Collaborate with the Chief Information Officer to:
oDevelop an Information Security program that will identify and mitigate threats arising from the improper handling or dissemination of the Company’s sensitive information oCoordinate activities of a global Information Security Officer network to implement that program
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.
Master’s Degree in Security or Business Administration or equivalent preferred
ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) preferred
Experience:
Minimum fifteen (15) years Law Enforcement or Corporate Security experience, with at least five (5) years in a supervisory role
Experienced investigator with proven results working with federal and local law enforcement agencies
Skills:
Must be an intelligent, articulate and persuasive leader who can serve as an effective member of the senior management team and who is able to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
Consensus builder while still results-oriented and commitment focused
Should have experience and knowledge of:
oElectronic physical security systems oCrisis management, business continuity planning, auditing, and risk management oContract and vendor negotiations oMust have solid understanding of information technology and information security
