Job Description
Provides loss prevention and physical security to the site in order to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
Major Job Activities:
1. Stands static guard posts and conducts roving patrol of the work-site areas.
2. Monitors and ensures proper identification of employees and visitors through access control points.
3. Maintains entry and exit control logs and other required documentation
4. Follows detail instructions and procedures to accomplish work objectives in the performance of routine, repetitive standardized tasks.
5. Duties include deterring theft, pilferage, vandalism, arson, and other acts or crimes against Government and company property.
6. Observes, monitors and reports any and all incidents and suspicious activities in a timely fashion.
7. Completes required paperwork in a timely and correct fashion.
8. Maintains record of assigned shift security post activities.
9. Handles stressful situations and provides a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner.
10. Resolves questions and problems and refers more complex issues to a higher level for resolution.
11. Sounds alarm and/or calls police, fire, emergency personnel in case of fire or medical emergencies.
12. Maintains confidentially and adheres to company and Government rules and regulations.
13. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
14. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Handheld radio and other electronic communication equipment
Experience:
A minimum of one year in law enforcement military police or related field.
Skills:
Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and AWRDS. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license to operate the security force leased vehicle assets. Must demonstrate professionalism and objective when listening to conflicting perspectives. Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
