Position Summary:
Creative seeks candidates for the position of the Electoral Security Consultant. This consultancy will last approximately ten days and will provide guidance on the implementation of an upcoming electoral assessment project in Haiti. S/he will be based in one of the four electoral departments in Haiti below:
Nippes
South
South East
Grand Anse
Reporting & Supervision: This position will report to the Project Director in Washington, DC.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Electoral Security Consultant will:
Provide overall guidance on the implementation of the project;
Provide input on the administration of elections and security issues related to elections in one of the electoral departments mentioned above;
Provide information and analysis of the current landscape of electoral violence for marginalized groups including women and persons with disabilities in one of the four electoral districts above;
Meet with the relevant stakeholders in one of the four electoral districts and elsewhere in Haiti;
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Substantive knowledge in electoral administration, security and violence in Haiti;
Extensive experience working or living in one of the four electoral districts in Haiti mentioned above;
Experience working in a related international development area;
Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Prior experience developing electoral assessment studies focused on electoral security and election-related violence in Haiti;
Fluency in Creole and/or French
