Educational / Work Experience
Must have a minimum of 20 years of experience (or combination of education and experience) in Integrated Border Management within one or more of the following disciplines is required:
Customs, Immigration, Border Interdiction, Counter Narcotics, Revenue, Capacity Development, Military, and/or Threat Finance.
Must be a graduate of The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center
Previous experience as a Legacy Customs, CBP Officer or Border Patrol Agent is required.
Experience as an instructor is preferred but not required.
Experience as a customs or border management mentor, advisor or liaison outside of the United States is highly preferred but not required.
Must have worked for at least ten years as a Customs Inspector or it’s functional equivalent;
Must be able to demonstrate at least five years operational experience working in an international airport targeting passengers for drugs, money and other contraband using electronic systems (preferably, CBP’s Automated Targeting System platform);
