Quartermaster , Iraq [military experience]

Job Introduction:
The QM is accountable to the Operations Co-ordinator for the effective management of the logistic account and support functions required for the sustained operation in support of the contract
The SSI South HQ is based at Energy City, Bergesia.
The SSI South Management Team is furnished by highly experienced personnel who have in-depth knowledge of the O&G industry.
SSI aim to deliver integrated security and secure logistic solutions to Exploration and Production Companies, International Oil Companies and National Oil Companies (E&Ps/IOCs/NOCs), oilfield service companies (OSCs) and associated contractors.
The Quartermaster will be located in Majnoon.
This position will be on a 6:6 rotation.

Role Responsibility:
Management of the logistic account, audit and compliance functions.
Procurement of equipment.
Day-to-day functional coordination and management of the complete logistic operation for this project.
Manage the complete logistic account, including, weapons.
Ammunition, communications – IT, specialist equipment and the associated audit, control and tracking systems required for account management, In essence, all fixed asset management.
To plan with the Operations Coordinator all equipment procurement and replacement plans.
To provide weekly and monthly returns (detailed) of all fixed assets, their serviceability, availability and status.
To compile accurate weekly and monthly reports on the complete logistic account that reflect the audit and compliance status of the project to the Operations Co-ordinator as directed.
To Manage and produce logistic gap analysis and risk mitigation or contingency management plans.
The writing and compilation of Logistic Service Support project SOP’s.
To attend those meetings directed by the Operations Coordinator.
Establish a good supply chain in country, identify good suppliers and ensure that delivery of supplies occurs in a timely manner, whilst managing costs.

The Ideal Candidate:
Qualifications in English and Mathematics or Military education equivalent.
Current SIA Licence holder preferrable
Qualified in First Aid and Basic Trauma Management, FPOS preferable.
Recognised health and safety qualification
Arabic language qualifications are desirable
Project Management qualifications are desirable e.g. Prince 2
Professional Security Management qualifications would be a bonus

Essential:

Minimum of 7 years military experience.
3 years previous logistics support role
Experience in working in hostile environments.
Experience working with multi-national personnel.

Desirable:
Commercial field experience in private security.
G4S Iraq/Afghanistan experience (or other PSCs).
