Job Introduction:
The Operations Coordinator is the primary agent for operational management and contract compliance for a specific client contract. The PM is to facilitate the smooth running of the project by applying sound managerial principles and judgement at all times. The PM is to interface with both the Client’s Management Team and G4S Oilfield Services Management Team to ensure expectations are safely met.
The SSI South HQ is based at Energy City, Bergesia.
The SSI South Management Team is furnished by highly experienced personnel who have in-depth knowledge of the O&G industry.
SSI aim to deliver integrated security and secure logistic solutions to Exploration and Production Companies, International Oil Companies and National Oil Companies (E&Ps/IOCs/NOCs), oilfield service companies (OSCs) and associated contractors.
The Operations Coordinator will be located in Majnoon.
This is on a rotation 6:6.
Role Responsibility:
Command and control the Project at all times ensuring all work is conducted safely, in line with directives set by the SSI South Management team
Ensure that G4S Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are followed at all times.
Produce, monitor and implement project SOPs, Procedures for the Project. All project produced SOPs are to be signed off by the SSI South Management team
Manages in country day-to-day client interaction.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
Create and execute mission work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements using his management team, in conjunction with the SSI South Management team.
Contract compliance and dispute management
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. Where appropriate escalate these to SSI South Managementfor visibility.
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Monitor and command the Projects manning, leave, and process the manning requests through the SSI South Management team
Weekly returns are to be completed and sent in a timely manner.
Complete project billing as dictated by the contract and by the G4S SSI South Management Team
Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
Conduct effective performance evaluations and mentor all personnel through formal channels.
Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
Ensure all incidents and accident reports are completed as per SOPs.

The Ideal Candidate:
Qualifications in English and Mathematics or Military education equivalent.
Current SIA Licence holder preferrable
Qualified in First Aid and Basic Trauma Management, FPOS preferable.
Recognised health and safety qualification
Arabic language qualifications are desirable
Project Management qualifications are desirable e.g. Prince 2
Professional Security Management qualifications would be a bonus
Essential:
Commercial Security Management experience
Previous military service record in Western Armed Forces or equivalent
Attainment of appropriate rank given the number of years served (as a minimum SNCO)
Experience in working in hostile environments
Experience in the training and management of multi-national personnel
Experience managing large number of employees
Desirable:
Military or Commercial Training experience
Commercial experience in Iraq
