Job Description
Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Specialist
STS International, Inc is seeking an ISR / PED Specialist to maximize the effectiveness and intended purpose of the designed PED associated with each ISR initiative in support of intelligence/counterintelligence operations in offices and designated facilities throughout the Afghanistan.
Clearance Requirement: Top Secret / SCI
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
Diverse and hands-on intelligence analytic experience with a solid understanding of intelligence ingest including SIGINT, IMINT, MASINT, ELINT, GEOINT, and FMV into Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) nodes.
Thoroughly understanding the PED analysis processes, with corresponding knowledge of dissemination media to war fighters in the field.
Analyze issues, troubleshoot problems, recommend solutions, and implement recommendations for PED infrastructure from sensor to user in order to effectively and efficiently deliver ISR information to the end user.
Interact with junior and senior military personnel.
Exhibit leadership, teamwork, ingenuity, critical thinking, and initiative.
Minimum/General Experience:
Minimum of a Bachelors degree plus 2 years operational experience is required.
A minimum of 5 years military operational communications experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree and experience combination.
An Information Technology background is a plus, and strong hardware familiarization is also desired. Analytical PED experience is necessary but not sufficient.
An understanding of the Afghanistan Area of Responsibility (AOR) and/or Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
Candidates must be willing to work in Iraq or Afghanistan and live in austere conditions for up to one year with a possibility of extension. Danger, stress, physical hardships and possible field living conditions associated with this position.
Willing to work a 12-hour shift, 7 days a week for extended periods.
Ability to pass a health and welfare screening and meet requirements as stated in FM 3-100.21, “Contractors on the Battlefield.”
Poses a current United States passport.
Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing 40 pounds or more.
Ability to do work including lifting and climbing in rigorous environments (including extreme heat and desert climates).
