FORENSIC SCIENCE OFFICER:
Location: Deployed
Clearance: Current DOD SECRET eligible for TOP SECRET/SCI clearance

Candidates will be members of a Transition Team for a deployed Expeditionary Exploitation Laboratory and serve as subject matter experts in Forensic Science.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conducting examinations of evidence related to IEDs, munitions, explosives, DNA, and latent prints related to recovered evidence
Serving in a rotational CONUS/OCONUS environment
Conduct complex analytical methods in the exploitation of evidences
Producing detailed reports and analyses of findings resulting from exploitation of evidence
Effectively communicate with all levels of the transition team and theater staff as required

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Physical ability and commitment to deploy globally as a team member.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, excel/ spreadsheets, CIDNE, WEAT databases.
Skilled communicators who can clearly articulate/communicate via email, telephone calls and video teleconferencing.

Education and Experience:
Degree from an accredited college or university in physical or life sciences
Knowledge and experience in forensic chemistry examining items and samples affected by explosives
Experience as a forensic scientist depicting conduct of physical and chemical examinations of physical evidence.
Experience working as a forensic specialist/analyst in DNA collections and exploitation
Five years experience working in the forensics field
Knowledge and experience working with GC-MS and other instrumental techniques
Expert in site exploitation, forensic photography, latent print examination, DNA testing
Knowledge of forensic collection, processing and analysis
Experience working with an OIF/OEF Laboratory, TEDAC facility, other NGIC, DIA or ATF Lab; interagency or state/local law enforcement forensics labs.

Certifications and Other Qualifications:
U.S. citizenship
Current DOD SECRET eligible for TOP SECRET/SCI clearance
