Line Manager: Country Manager / Country Operations Manager
Local Reporting to: Country Management Team (CMT)
Prerequisite Experience:
Essential – Ex NATO military Warrant Officer/SNCO preferably holding a Platoon Sergeant Battle Course qualification or special to arms equivalent with a high competency in operational management.
Purpose of Role:
The Afghanistan FOB Manager’s role is to manage all operational planning, resourcing and execution for his respective location / contract in support of client requirements.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Ensuring that all deliverables within contractual requirements are acquitted.
Acting as the Olive Group in-country point of contact for all client management issues.
Providing direction and management for all operational activities and functions.
Ensuring the recruitment of Armed Security Guards (ASG) is conducted as directed by the US military
guidelines including the registration and monitoring of the in theatre vetting process.
Originate and maintain the daily working routine for all OG employees taking into account and managing the cultural issues associated with working in this environment.
Completion and submission of all CENTCOM compliance paperwork for expats and ASG / Local Nationals (LNs).
Manage all aspects of J4 with constant liaison with the Country Management Team (CMT) Operations Support Manager.
Accountability of a working cash amount utilised for life support issues and the payment of all OG LN employees under the remit of the contract.
Daily interface with the US Military to advise on all security matters.
Ensure all training for the ASG is planned and executed as per a clear and relevant training programme.
Compliance with all relevant Olive Group Directives and Policies that govern the conduct of all employees operational activities.
The submission of reports including Daily Situation Reports (DSRs), Weekly Situation Reports (WSRs), Serious Incidents Reports (SIRs) and After Action Reports (AARs).
Daily interaction with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) in regards to all aspects of the contract including billing of services provided by Olive Group.
Maintain good level of communications and cooperation with the CMT Afghanistan keeping them informed of all relevant issues.
Ensuring that all activities are conducted in a manner aligned to the Olive Group Ethos and Values and that corporate image is maintained at all times.
Additional Tasks and Responsibilities:
Understand and implement company policy to best effect during planning and conduct of activities.
Contribute to client presentations/briefings as required.
Be familiar with Olive Group in theatre organisational structures, appointments, personnel and processes.
Ensure client confidence is maintained by protecting client information.
Essential Capabilities/Skills/Competences:
Senior operational management. Ex Warrant Officer / SNCO.
High standard of written and verbal communication.
High level of skill in MS Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Understanding and application of Risk Management process.
Proven operational experience in demanding high risk environments.
Basic accounting knowledge in logistics and finance.
