Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Commando Instructor position involves training field craft, tactics, Special Operations (SO) and advanced skills training in the Special Operations role. While not exhaustive, the individual will at a minimum, conduct the following roles and tasks: assist the Commando Senior Instructor (SI) in conducting the training needs analysis and developing training strategies; assist in the design, development and management of Commando training courses as required by the school training department; provide subject matter expert (SME) assistance to the SI and Systems Approach to Training (SAT) Wing to develop all Commando training courses in accordance with the application of the SAT; deliver and instruct all aspects of Commando training, including, tactics, Special Operations and advanced skills, military conduct and basic physical development; mentor and develop local Officers and-Non Commissioned Officers (NCOs) in the coordination and delivery of training and provide feedback on their performance and potential to the Commando SI and coordinate, manage and mentor the Third Country Nationals (TCNs) or local instructors in the performance of their duties.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Candidates will be a fluent English speaker; possess skills as a Basic Range OIC, Field Firing OIC; be trained in mobility operations; have substantive (E7 – E8, W1 – W2, O2 – O3) leadership experience, or equivalent responsibility in a security related role; be a qualified Special Operations operator from a recognized military organization and possess a certified instructor qualification.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The preferred candidate will possess reconnaissance, field firing range, and anti-armor range safety supervisor qualifications.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
The qualified candidate will possess Special Operations Force (SOF) Team / Section or Platoon Leader duties (or Security related equivalent); SOF Company level training experience (or Security related equivalent) and operational experience in a SOF combat role within a coalition environment (within five years); an assignment to a SOF training School as an instructor and experience working with foreign nations, specifically within an Arab culture (desired).
