Job Description
Weapons Maintenance Technicians are skilled in the maintenance of small arms weapons.
General Purpose Responsible for maintaining and repairing all weapons assigned to the contract and all equipment within the scope of repairs and maintenance approved by DEAV (Diplomatic Security’s Defensive Equipment and Armored Vehicle Division).
Position Responsibilities
Maintain PRS detail and guard force weapons
Maintain weapons for all personal protective, static guard and emergency response team security service personnel. Perform only authorized maintenance as per DEAV.
Repair and maintain weapons in accordance with OEM standards
Account for all weapons in his/her custody
The weapons armorer shall perform general maintenance, repair and rebuilding of all provided weapons systems, as directed, to include:
semi-automatic pistols, submachine guns, pump action shotguns, automatic carbines, and automatic machine guns
Shall also be responsible for the installation of special technical equipment to weapons to include USG provided optical devices, flashlights, grenade launchers, night vision, and laser sights
Essential Skills and Experience
U.S. Citizen
Level 3 English proficiency
The Armorer shall possess a technical knowledge of weapon repair/maintenance principles, methods, and procedures.
He/she may qualify through completion of a military, law enforcement, or equivalent civilian weapons Armorer school and four (4) years military, law enforcement, or equivalent civilian Armorer experience.
One (1) year of overseas experience performing as an Armorer.
Shall be Factory certified on a continual basis, as required, on all weapons for which he/she is responsible. These certifications must be in your possession as the company will not pay for initial certifications.

Certifications are mandatory for deployment; however Triple Canopy is willing to consider applicants who do not have all of the required certifications.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be prepared to live and work in an austere environment. Must be willing to work seven days a week, 12 hours a day. The Armorer shall have the physical ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
