Description

Key Role:
Instruct and develop for the tactical search operations supporting the asymmetrical warfare and counter improvised explosive device training mission at Ft Riley, KS. Serve as the primary instructor for the fundamentals of Tactical Site Exploitation (TSE) and cache search operations. Provide training to ensure documents, material, and personnel are identified, collected, protected, and evaluated in order to facilitate follow-on actions, including tactical questioning (TQ) at the squad and platoon levels to feed intelligence and evidence up the chain of command, where it is exploited for immediate operations. Use electronic data, including the Biometrics Automated Toolset (BAT) and Handheld Interagency Identity Detection Equipment (HIIDE) to produce a matching set of fingerprints from a detainee. Serve as the tactical search operations subject matter expert for local commanders and integrate site exploitation tasks into operational planning. Cross-train in counter IED skills to support home-station training as an instructor under field conditions and deploy throughout continental US to support CIED surge training requirements.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with military operations
Experience with military deployment at the battalion level in OIF, OND, or OEF
Experience with collecting, protecting, and evacuating documents, material, and personnel for exploitation to enable follow-up actions
Knowledge of the methodology to conduct tactical search operations in COIN and decisive action environments
Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED required

Additional Qualifications:
Experience as a military instructor
Experience as a search training developer or instructor
Knowledge of basic computer operating expertise and Microsoft Office
Knowledge of electronic devices, including BAT and HIIDE
BA or BS degree

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
