Job Description
Anchorage Role synopsis The Security Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Security in meeting OMS elements 3.5 , and all applicable laws and regulations as set forth by the State of Alaska & DHS. The Security Coordinator will have the skill set to conduct risk analysis, gap assessments and develop plans to mitigate risks. This position will manage Facility Security Plans and carry out regulatory drills as needed. This person will liaison with law enforcement and regulatory agencies.

This position is a full time position reporting to the Director of Security – Alaska. Key accountabilities • The Security Coordinator is the alternate Company Security Officer and will assume Delegation of Authority in the absence of the Director of Security.
Maintain plans and resources that assure the Region meets regulatory requirements.
Reduce risk exposure through security program design and implementation that is in accordance with Group Standards and allows for operational flexibility to ensure ongoing support to business priorities and objectives
Provide technical assistance to identify and recommend security cost-savings opportunities
Participate in and lead Security Management events and exercises. Assist in developing, testing and updating crisis management plans and establishing emergency preparedness and response procedures. Assure Region can execute security plan at all levels.
Ensure appropriate and relevant security awareness training needs of the businesses are identified and the relevant specific training delivered. Promote employee security awareness through education/prevention programs, to include security fair days and informative town halls.
Develop working relationships with law enforcement entities and industrial security professionals
Implement security procedures and programs to prevent, detect, and react to known or suspected cases of criminal activity, terrorist activity, or unethical business conduct in accordance with Group Standards and Guidelines.
Champion the Group Security Standard and security initiatives within the Region
Champion the Group Code of Conduct
Perform security risk assessments based on vulnerability criteria to determine appropriate levels of protection and security necessary for the site
Support fraud investigations at the request of Group Security and promote fraud prevention and awareness
Conduct internal investigations as assigned
Support contractor/vendor audits as assigned
Coordinate and conduct security awareness training programs
Maintain Security Sharepoint and web site.
Maintain “Ineligible List”
Develop security documents and power points. Manage security events in traction

Investigations – Provides the organization with an effective professional investigative capability by identifying, development, assembling, and analyzing complex factual information in accordance with applicable legal and company standards of conduct. Proactively assesses areas of potential exposure to minimize adverse consequences while displaying sensitivities to relevant legal issues, business needs, and organizational constraints.
Risk Assessment & Analysis – Assist the businesses in the identification and analysis of their security risks utilizing proven methodology as the basis for security decision making.
Risk Management – Utilize the risk assessment in the design, selection, utilization and integration of security processes and equipment.
Possess knowledge on current security technology and trends, to include access control systems, camera systems and people tracking systems.
Experience in executive protection. Conduct risk analysis for executive protection.
Professional Credibility – Deliver results and contribute to business decision making, thereby enhancing individual and functional credibility. Has confidence of site leaders.
Knowledge Leadership – Effective influencing, presentation and facilitation skills. Ability to communicate intricate and sensitive situations to various levels of the organization and external environments. Ability to exercise effective independent judgment and take appropriate action. Balance team and individual leadership.
Must have good computer skills; i.e power point and excel Essential Education • BS/BA degree and five years experience in a position in energy /security industry or equilivent work experience and working towards a college degree. Essential experience and job requirements • Five years experience in Corporate Security in a managerial capacity. Other essential skills and knowledge • Must be able to obtain a TWIC card
Must be able to work in the Arctic environment for extended periods of time.
Legal authorization to work in the US on a full time basis for anyone other than your current employer
Good computer skills (Word, excel, power point, outlook)
Good writing skills
Knowledge of State and Federal Regulations as it applies to the oil and gas industry. Desirable criteria & qualifications • Security Certification (State guard’s license)
