The Physical Security Specialist will conduct physical security surveys and inspections, and draft results detailing evaluations and recommendations. This includes costs estimates and/or Statements of Work. Other responsibilities include:
Application of appropriate security standards during building design, upgrade and/or renovations.
Provide direction to Department field offices on physical security standards.
Assist in the preparation technical solutions and specifications.
Assist in the coordination and oversight in the management of security system installation and alarm maintenance programs.
Participate in special projects and studies affecting facilities and property.
Qualifications Requires :Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and two to four years of security-related experience required and ability to obtain security clearance. Additional Qualifications • Minimum 4 years physical security experience.
A Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
Requires good writing and communication skills.
Preferences:
o Experience with installing CCTV systems o Understanding of Internet Protocol, MPEG and H.264 video compression, webpage and client applications. o Working knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 7 with Linux knowledge a bonus o Working knowledge of AutoCad, Visio, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
Security Requirements: Top Secret Eligibility Degrees Equivalent Experience/Education Bachelor’s Degree Years of Experience 00-02 years w/Masters Degree 02-04 years w/Bachelors Degree 08-10 years w/High School Diploma Position Type FT
