Overview:
These positions will become part of a team of professionals supporting the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID) Law Enforcement Professional (LEP) Program. These positions will be based in CONUS and OCONUS locations. Positions are contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities:
The LEP program deploys selected former and retired law enforcement officers in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). LEPs assist select US Army and Marine brigade, regimental and division headquarters to investigate analyze and understand the nature of the threat of networked criminal activities in the area of operations. Assist select unit staffs in the compilation and analysis of information about organized criminal groups, and advise in the investigative direction, attack and neutralization of complex criminal enterprises.
Qualifications:
Must have a current or held a recent TOP SECRET Clearance
Certified academy graduate working as a civilian sworn law enforcement officer in a federal, state, or local
law enforcement agency. Must possess a minimum of 20 years law enforcement experience with 15 years in complex criminal investigations. Experience investigating one, or more, of the following matters: organized crime, gangs, narcotic violations, and violent crimes. Must be capable and experienced in the collection of evidence to assist determination of criminal identity, networks, gangs and activities. Ability to analyze event statistics to determine patterns and methods of criminal enterprise is required. Ability to examine records and files to find identifying data about suspects is required. Ability to develop and maintain case files involving criminal events is required. Must be in good health and fitness to be able to deploy globally to include non-permissive environments. Must be a US citizen in possession of a current US Tourist Passport. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must possess an unblemished law enforcement background.
