Position Summary
Conduct in-depth technical inspections to assure and enhance quality of new production ammunition at production facilities throughout Eastern Europe and certain areas of the Middle East on behalf of ARMA and our clients. Assist in supplier oversight by monitoring and reporting on supplier performance to contract requirements.

Responsibilities
•Conduct site visits to monitor production and quality control processes at each of the vendors’ production locations.
•Assess production readiness of suppliers from receipt of raw material through final production. This includes:• Material availability
• Line of balance information
• Training
• Work loading
• Production an
•Inspect, test, and evaluate ammunition materiel to determine the current degree of serviceability and rate of deterioration.
•Safety of ammunition materiel and explosives during storage, handling, transportation, use, and disposal.
•Identify production issues and potential risks. Provide corrective action suggestions and work with suppliers to develop and implement risk mitigation plans.
•Assist in processing of paperwork required to support production (Ammunition data cards, Bills of Lading, DD250s, etc.).
•Witness, approve, prepare and submit Product Acceptance Documentation (Inspection Records and Certifications).
•Participate in testing and failure analysis as required.
•Collects and analyzes data to determine trends.
•Review ammunition data cards and certificate of conformance documentation from suppliers prior to formal submittal to the client.
•Provide real-time status to Arma and/or our client(s) regarding inspection results, schedule changes, production issues, shipments, audits and other supply chain related issues.
•Professionally represent ARMA and our client(s) at all times, including interacting with U.S. Government inspectors.
•The Candidate will be subject to all applicable US and host nation laws and regulations.
•All work will be conducted at various ammunition production facilities throughout Eastern Europe. Some travel may be required to Pakistan.
Required Skills
•Eight (8) years’ experience working in an ammunition production facility and/or ammunition storage facility and/or in the management of ammunition
•Three (3) years’ experience in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001)
•U.S. Army Quality Assurance Specialist-Ammunition Surveillance (QAS-AS) certified
•Familiarity traveling in Eastern Europe and/or the Middle East
•Currently possess all required work permits or visas, or be able to obtain these upon employment
•Ability to pass all pre-deployment screening and testing and be medically fit as defined by the US Government. Candidates
•Able to pass all US Government mandated health screening checks
•Able to work in austere conditions with only limited access to emergency medical and dental care
•No major ailments requiring routine medical care or medication are acceptable.
•Lifting/carrying 45 lbs
•Wearing protective clothing and equipment
•Walking, standing, bending, kneeling, crawling
Desired Skills
While not required, the following experience and skills are desired:
•Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
•Current, or the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance
•Current permanent residence in Western or Eastern Europe
Work Environment
•Persons not living in Europe may be required to re-locate to Europe for 1-3 years.
•On the job training specific to ARMA’s client quality control procedures will be provided.
•Travel to/from home of record to supplier locations will be economy class commercial travel in accordance with US Government travel regulations.
•Transportation, hotel, rental car, meals and incidental expenses will be reimbursed at actual costs not to exceed rates specified in U.S. Government travel regulations.
•Laptop, cell phone, and required work and safety clothing/equipment
•Travel will be required on a near weekly basis with roughly 25-30 total trips planned during the period of performance. Travel may be required on weekends.
Education Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree in industrial, manufacturing, or process engineering
