Function Note:
Evaluating current practices of the HNP narcotics units.
Review the existing strategy to fight against narcotic smuggling.
Coordinate with the HNP and all other internal or external participants, specifics operations.

Coordinate with the HNP and all other internal or external participants, specifics operations.
Provide assistance to his/her HNP counterparts in the regular monitoring activities of the narcotics units.
Develop and assist to deliver a training program for HNP officers.
Creating all necessary supporting policies and directives governing narcotics operations.
Working in concert with his/her HNP counterpart to assist in the assessment of overall HNP performance in the areas of stated responsibility identifying the training needs of the HNP within the area of responsibility.
Developing the capacity of the HNP to perform all functions within this area of responsibility.
Performing other duties as assigned by the Senior Leadership of MINUSTAH.
Requirement Note:
Ability to meet minimum requirements for assignment to UN Police operations (i.e. language proficiency and driving skills);
Ability to prepare reports and presentations;
He/She shall be familiar with United Nations policies and procedures.University Degree, or an equivalent Police Academy certificate, in a pertinent field, or a relevant combination of academic qualifications, professional training and experience;
In-depth understanding of the mandate of the police component in the Mission
Previous international experience in Police operations is an advantage;
Minimum of 10 years of progressive and active policing service/experience in budget management and finances.
