Local Reporting to: Shift Supervisor BSOC

  Prerequisite Qualifications: Communications and IT skilled, fluent in written and spoken English, Arabic a bonus.

Prerequisite Experience:
Experienced in a variety of communication systems (primarily IT, Radio, GSM and satellite networks and systems).

Purpose of Role:
To act as the duty operator of the tracking and communication systems used within the Business Security Operations Centre. This role will involve the operation, monitoring and routine tasks assigned for the effective operation of the BSOC.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assist the Supervisor with the smooth running of the Control Centre during the respective duty shift.
Assist in the effective operation and monitoring of the Secure Locate tracking system during the respective duty shift.
To be part of a team providing a 24/7 response to BSOC Subscribers by phone and by email. This will involve relaying information requests and events to the appropriate desk within BSOC during working hours or if necessary acting under the guidance of the Supervisor on duty during silent hours to fulfill the task requirement.
To be able to work under pressure and when required take accurate and comprehensive notes when dealing with incidents involving BSOC Subscribers maintaining a calm professional manner at all times.
To be conversant with all technical equipment within the Control Centre.
To be conversant with requirements for tasking emergency services via the BSOC Liaison Officer or other support for specific events.
To monitor the movements of BSOC Subscribers whilst deployed on operations to ensure regular contact is maintained.
To monitor the IT systems used within the Control Centre and input data as and when required.

Additional Tasks and Responsibilities:
Maintain confidentiality regarding both Olive Group operations and that of Olive Group clients.
Maintain a duty shift log of all events that affect BSOC Subscribers.
To assist the Control Centre Supervisor with all his/her tasks.
To man the Control Centre during the temporary absence of a duty Supervisor.
Adhoc duties as required appointed to you by your Line Manager.

Essential Capabilities/Skills:
An understanding of a variety of communication systems (to include IT, Radio, GSM, GPS and Satellite).
Able to brief / report to senior managers on communications and tracking issues / situations.
Ability to think on ones feet, demonstrate initiative and act responsibly, often whilst working unsupervised.
Ability to learn about tracking systems and customer implementations.
Able to quickly learn new systems and software.
