Training Advisor x 2 , Afghanistan

Responsible for working with the training department in conjunction with other CSSP departments and programs.
Responsible for gathering and providing training materials, becoming familiar with the CPD operations, and implementing the facilities training schedule.
Works with the CPD Training Directorate to implement a facilities training schedule and advises on establishing methods to ensure training is conducted as scheduled in an appropriate manner.
Creates an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort. Helps establish and maintain a positive work environment for staff.
Works alongside local staff, obtaining and providing feedback to enhance individual growth and professionalism.
Ensures all other team members are informed of progress on all issues and assigned tasks.
Coordinates with internal and external agencies as necessary.
Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirement Note:
Must have a minimum of five years of experience in corrections, of which two years are in a supervisory capacity in a state, federal, local, or private correctional agency (adult or juvenile).
Demonstrated experience conducting assessment processes, preparing administrative program documents and records (i.e., program reports), working with nationals and internationals, and organizing and conducting trainings, meetings, and events.
Strong organizational and communication skills, proven track record of working collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to manage projects of varying sizes, scopes, complexity.
Strong problem solving ability, innovative and eager to explore new methods and technologies.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
Preferred minimum of one year experience providing firearms training or defensive tactics instruction, in addition to knowledge of or certification as a range master; current certification in first aid/CPR a plus.
