AMK9 is currently accepting applications for Handlers with:
• A minimum of 3 years experience in K9 Handling. Experience must come from Federal, State, or local level law enforcement or military with certifications as proof
• Must have 3 years experience with Military Police, Force protection, and/or Special Operations
• If separated from the military, an honorable discharge is required
• Must be U.S. Citizen
• Must hold valid U.S. Driver’s License
• Must possess a valid high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be CPR AND First Aid certified by the American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Must meet companies minimum health and physical fitness requirement
• Handler must hold or have held a Secret level clearance with the US Govt (please disclose what type when applying for position)
• Applicant cannot have any outstanding liens against them or financial / unresolved credit problems
• Handler must be able to pass an extensive weapons qualification and be proficient with M4 and Glock 17 weapons systems
• Handler must be able to pass an in depth background check
• Handler must be willing to deploy to austere environments
• Any experience with NORT or ORPT K9 certifications a plus
• Deployments will range from 60-90+ days roughly and time home will be a minimum of 2-3 weeks between deployments
• Retainer pay while stateside
