Security Manager , South Africa

The KayDav Group, leaders in the timber and board industry in South Africa, require a Security Manager for their Group operations. Based in Cape Town, the successful applicant will also be required to travel to the Company’s Johannesburg and Pretoria branches.

This senior position reports to the CEO of the Company.

Duties:
Training and posting of Loss Control Officers at branches
Security and loss control strategies and policies developed, implemented and maintained to safeguard the Company’s assets and personnel.
Managing operational risk on a day to day basis which includes monitoring, reporting and identifying weaknesses and ensuring corrective action is implemented.
Ensuring that Company rules, procedures and policies and time frames are adhered to at all branches.
Ensuring that discipline is enforced. Liaising with HR Department.
Ensuring that health and safety regulations are enforced and adhered to. Steer SHE committees.
Managing vehicle tracking for the Company.
Conducting background checks on new employees.

Essentials:
Honest and reliable.
Min 5 years’ experience in a Senior Security Management role.
Driver’s license and own, reliable transport is essential – you will be required to travel between sites.
Grade 12 / PSIRA Grade A or equivalent OR security and/or policing qualification at Warrant Officer or above level.
Computer literate: MS Office
Retail stores and factory experience advantageous
Willing to work irregular hours and overtime.
Must be in good health and physical stature.
Clear Criminal and credit record
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Good communication and interpersonal skills
