TA Aircraft (Security / Medic)

Job Summary
Manages the Security and Medical Program in Pakistan for contract personnel supporting the Department of State (DoS), Aviation Division, Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement operations. Establish, implement, update, train and enforce Security and Medical procedures. Advise the Site Manager on issues and activities related to Security and Medical. Individual performs other duties as required.

Principal Accountabilities
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Security
1. Advise Site Manager on all country security-related issues
2. Conduct FOB/MOB security surveys
3. Conduct area threat assessments
4. Manage facility security in designated locations.
5. Supervise U.S. Embassy security checks on TCN and Host Nation initial hires
6. Conduct newcomers Security/Threat Brief
7. Develop/establish/update Security portion of SOP

Medical
1. Advise Site Manager on all country medical-related issues
2. Account for medical equipment, supplies and medicines at all sites
3. Procure medicines and medical equipment as required
4. Develop/implement/update country MEDEVAC plan
5. Develop/establish/update Medical portion of SOP

Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills
1. Extensive personnel management skills are required
2. Security Management skills are required
3. Inventory management skill is required
4. Instructor/trainer skills is required
5. Proficiency in small arms weapons is required
6. Ability to establish and maintain rapport with Host Nation personnel is required.
7. Currently possess or have the ability to obtain a U.S. Passport before assignment.
8. Possess or have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance is a condition of employment; an active DoD Secret Security Clearance is preferred.

Experience & Education
Extensive active duty military experience in light infantry patrolling and tactics is required. Extensive experience as a Security or Medical Technician is required. Extensive active duty military security-related experience is desired. Exposure to OCONUS Security Threat operations in inhospitable environment is desired. Extensive experience in conducting base security assessments is desired. Counter-terrorist experience is required. Experience in base camp construction is desired. Extensive experience in assessing Threat and Friendly Force capabilities is required. Experience as a trainer in light infantry tactics and patrolling, light and medium weapons operation and employment, perimeter defense procedures and principles is required

High school diploma is required. Two (2) years of college or equivalent in a management or security-related area of study is desired. Formal training as a U.S. Army 18D or equivalent from a sister service, or a current state or national emergency medical technician certification. Formal training as a U.S. Army 18B or equivalent Special Operations unit.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment
1. Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for up to twelve (12) hours per day and sit for up to eight (8) hours per day.
2. Must possess physical dexterity and coordination to qualify for Federal Aviation Administration Commercial Pilot Certificate.
3. Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
4. Must be able to climb stairs.
5. Must be able to read and interpret newspaper and typewritten print, maps, aeronautical charts, and weather charts.
6. Must be able to grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
7. Must be able to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
8. Must meet or exceed Federal Aviation Administration minimum visual acuity and hearing standards for Class II medical certificate.
9. Must be physically capable of climbing vertical ladders or built-in aircraft steps to heights of 10-12 feet.
10. May be exposed to chemical mist, gas, vapors, ultra-violet and infrared radiation.
11. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds to a height of four (4) feet and be required to lift up to 20 pounds to a height of seven (7) feet.
12. May be exposed to certain obstructions on the surface as well as ladders, stairs, etc.
13. May be exposed to rapid or extreme temperature changes.
14. May be required to meet Night Vision Goggle Vision Requirements: 20/100 near and FAR sight correctable to 20/20, be able to focus Night Vision Goggle at minimum distance of 20 feet.

Employee will be required to work and live in a potentially hostile environment, at remote locations, and under austere conditions. Employee may be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, under extreme weather conditions, within a hostile environment. The individual may be exposed to extreme noise from aircraft, hostile fire, and other acts of aggression associated with this region. Individuals may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and work in close proximity to moving mechanical parts, aircraft, and vehicles.

Travel
Must be able to travel to and between remote locations in austere and/or hostile environments.
