Our Activities
CADG is involved in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of infrastructure projects in Afghanistan. Our group focuses on the implementation of large scale agriculture and engineering programs in southern Afghanistan. CADG has invested heavily in capital equipment in order to become the leading private contractor in southern Afghanistan.
CADG partners in Afghanistan include USAID, UNOPS, DFID, Coalition Forces, The Louis Berger Group, Cummins Power Systems, UNDP, UNHCR, British Foreign Office and Chemonics International.

Job SummaryThe SSO is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all CDP staff members and /or assets while at a CDP static location ( Office/guesthouse) or while conducting a mobile movement to and from the guesthouse/office/project site.Duties and ResposibilitiesThe SSO is responsible to ensure the following tasks and standards are achieved.
1-Implements National/Provincial HSE policies at their sites as well as developing local policies.
2-Implementation, recording ,and reporting of security training for his site,
3-Advise the PHSE as to security equipment requirements and site upgrades.
4-Ensure yourself and guards are dressed properly, arrive to duty on time and are conducting yourselves in a professional manner.
5-Conducts security reporting to the PHSE manager and coordinate with Afghan officials, concerning security and medical care for LN staff ,
6-Safe and secure transportation of staff members,
7-Certifies all personnel who carry a weapon within his site and area in accordance with HSE security policy.
8-Proper weapons and ammunition maintenance, training ,accountability and distribution in his area.
9-Ensure CADG CDP employees who carry weapons have legal permits for their districts and/or provinces,
10-Overall security manager for their sites an areas.
11-Assists PHSE Manager and reports to the RHSE Manager as required.
12-Assists ,advises and trains when necessary any expert staff members within their province.

In closing ,we cannot work for CADG unless we do our jobs properly: therefore, you are expected to provide assistance during the implementation of the security plan wherever needed, as long as it does not interfere with the quality of your assigned security duties.

Qualification1-Diploma degree in relevant field required or equivalent experience.

2-Minimum of 4 years’ experience in relevant positions. Experience working in a similar position for an NGO or an international organization is preferred. USAID funded project experience is a clear plus.

3-Good communication skills (verbal).
4-Excellent interpersonal skill.
5-Ability to create a supportive working relationship with all office staff.
6- Ability to work under pressure.

7-LANGUAGES

Excellent language proficiency in spoken and written Dari and English, Pashto a plus.

In addition, must be flexible, willing to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and work irregular hours.
