Security Operations Manager
Our client delivers premium security personnel to organizations seeking bottom-line results from their investment in asset security and protection. They strive to inspire trust and confidence among clients by taking responsibility, acting ethically, and encouraging honest and open dialogue.
The Security Operations Manager position exists to ensure that the company has sufficient quantity of qualified, trained and capable Security Guards; manage personnel and other operating resources in the most effective and efficient manner to meet the needs of the business and our clients without experiencing any disservice situations

Responsibilities:
• Manage a large staff (25 to 30) within a small geographic territory
• Maintain consistent and appropriate recruitment activity, within budget parameters, to ensure a constant stream of new applicant activity across the designated region
• Forecast recruiting requirements on a regular (weekly) basis and recruit and hire as required in appropriate geographic areas
• Manage and deploy personnel in an effective manner consistent with company standards and client expectations, while being effective to contain exposure to overtime cost and potential labour and health and safety concerns
• Fully utilize the Company’s Celayix e-Time software program for employee scheduling and related human resource management aspects
• Evaluate the performance of security guards on a regular basis using the company standard supervisory visitation forms and documentation.
• Address issues of poor performance, misconduct, or policy violations and progressively discipline as appropriate.
• Conduct classroom and field training/development
• Manage the New Hire Initial Shift process and checklist
• Establish and maintain appropriate training records.
• Proactively identify actions that the Company must take in advance of and in conjunction with changes in Industry requirements.
• Work effectively with the Operations Supervisors to ensure all operational aspects are actively and proactively managed at all times

Qualifications:
• Proven experience in security officer recruitment, selection, training and supervision
• Proven capability in the design and execution of Training and Health/Safety programs
• Have strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proven effective tactical (short term) and strategic (big picture) thinker
• Must have knowledge of security and logistics
• Have excellent relationship building skills
• Must have own vehicle and maintain eligible driver status
