Regional Brand Protection/Security Manager, Asia - Shanghai - China

The Regional Brand Protection/Security Manager (RBPSM), Asia is primarily responsible for the investigation of product diversion and counterfeiting into and from Asia. The RBPSM will also implement the regional security program to align with it corporate objectives and address all aspects of security for the organization's regional businesses, including investigations, administrative security, physical security, personnel security, security education and training, contingency planning, crisis management, emergency preparedness and executive personal protection.

Key responsibilities
1.Develop and investigate cases pertaining to product diversion and or counterfeiting.
2.Manage the company vendor responsible for monitoring diverter wires and conducting investigations of suspect companies who are involved in the diversion of product into or counterfeit property from Asia to other markets anywhere in the world.
3.Monitor the supply chain and manage alerts to both distributors and sales reps of any ongoing product diversion.
4.Coordinate investigations as required.
5.Liaison with in-sector working groups to mitigate product diversion and counterfeiting.
6.Liaison with government officials, namely customs officials, educating them on the supply chain and alerting them to current diversion and counterfeiting issues.
7.Oversee the background security checks/due diligence for distributors in the Asia.
8.Assist with and participate in the development and implementation of a regional security plan that assesses current threats and vulnerabilities, identifies protection goals, objectives and metrics consistent with corporate strategic objectives, and details the efficient and cost-effective utilization of security resources.
9.Develop policies, objectives, budgets, plans, procedures and schedules for the region, conduct quality control audits and evaluate work standards and performance levels ensuring uniformity, effectiveness and appropriate staffing levels.
10.Develop training programs and conduct training exercises to ensure organizational preparedness for a security-related incident and to raise employee awareness.
11.Respond to security-related emergencies anywhere in Asia or other regions as required.
12.Manage the regional security teams, consisting of internal security personnel and/or partners and vendors, as appropriate.
13.Assist where needed in coordinating cross functional efforts with Real Estate and Facilities, Legal, Human Resources, Privacy & Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Finance (Sarbanes/Oxley), Senior Enterprise Management and Information Technology to provide thorough analysis of security risks and development of appropriate mitigating strategies at the plant in Shanghai and all sales offices and training facilities in Asia

Qualifications
The Regional Brand Protection/Security Manager is required to have a BA or BS degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. The person shall have at a minimum:
•Extensive experience in complex investigations and threat assessments. Experience in Brand Protection investigations is a priority.
•10 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility in a private sector multi-national corporate security organization or related public sector experience.
•Experience working with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, especially EU customs.
•Experience with creation of security budgets and supporting business cases, managing expenses, capital projects, and ongoing projects.
•Demonstrated working knowledge of security processes and practices.
•Effective verbal, and written and interpersonal communication skills including consulting, team building and collaboration.
•Excellent English and Chinese language skills.
•Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Visio, and Project is a plus.
