The Watch Keeper is responsible for the efficient operation and management of all Communications and Information Technology (CIT) systems in the Operations Room. He / she will operate and maintain an effective communications capability with deployed teams using radio, satellite and data communications. He / she will ensure that every team is monitored via a vehicle tracking system and ensure that the system is available to the Operations Room staff as required. In the absence of a communications engineer they will be responsible for ensuring that deploying teams have a fully operational communications capability. The Watch Keeper will report directly to the Operations Officer(s).
