Program Manager, Executive Protection


Job Summary:
Primary responsibility focuses on the safety of and risk mitigation for the Corporate Executive at Corporate offices, when traveling, and outside the corporate environment. Also mitigates probability of public embarrassment/humiliation for executive and the Walgreens Brand.

Job Responsibilities:
Adheres to executive protection protocol and performs executive protection services as dictated by the nature of the assignment. Assists the executive in mitigating circumstances that could place the executive and/or the Walgreens Brand in an unfavorable situation, this includes but is not limited to monitoring and evaluating the situations at hand, making time sensitive decisions and choosing alternative routes, as necessary.
Provides logistical support in regards to security for the executive.
Coordinates all movements and logistics to support the client’s itinerary and re-routes to mitigate risk, as necessary.
Performs basic security functions, including but not limited to perimeter and access control, identification
procedures, command post operations, patrolling, secure assets/property and post standing duties. Evaluates venues on an ad hoc basis and identifies where security services are necessary. Keeps executives from harm and on schedule
Conducts risk/threat vulnerability studies and impact assessment and applies to immediate situations.
Proactively reviews overall information to ensure proactive measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of the executive, including but not limited to sweeps, research, and the collection of applicable information and intelligence, counter-surveillance, as required.
Recommends improvements to processes. Recommends more efficient/effective ways to protect executives in the enterprise
May coordinate some aspects of travel arrangements and vendors, such as transportation in order to be aware of alternative routes, shelters, etc.
Communicates routes, principal contacts and escape routes. Communicates issues/plans to executives in timely and concise format, informs of most appropriate/secure alternatives and acts on choices, as appropriate, to reach a successful program outcome.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years experience performing personal and/or executive protection/security services OR a High School Diploma / GED and at least 5 years of experience performing personal and/or executive protection/security services
Experience performing basic security functions, such as perimeter and access control, identification procedures, command post operations, patrolling, secure assets/property and post standing duties
Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community & with vendors.
Experience conducting situational awareness/threat analysis.
Willing to travel at least 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an executive protection role in a corporate environment.
Experience using situational awareness to determine alternates.
