Purpose of Position:
To monitor all gaming related activities in the casino and to ensure compliance thereof in terms of legislated requirements and to minimise the Company’s risk in terms of fraud, theft and robberies.
Main Task and Responsibilities:
To manage the live monitoring of all gaming related activities in the casino to ensure GGB compliance.
Maintain a good working relationship with the National Gaming Board (NGB).
To manage and monitor gaming and gaming related activities in a proactive manner to ensure maximum protect of the Company’s revenue, assets, customers and employees.
To proactively and timorously report on all related gaming activities from a surveillance point of view.
Manage all gaming related audit findings to ensure immediate compliance with GGB rules and regulations.
To conduct gaming related investigations with sensitivity across all gaming functions such as Tables, Slots, Cash Desk, Casino Marketing, F&B, and Security.
Lead, design and manage crime prevention initiatives on the casino floor.
Proactively act on and investigate intelligence received regarding possible risks in the casino.
To daily manage and coordinate correspondence from and to the GGB on behalf of the Resort.
To build an extensive and active intelligence network in the local communities and in the gaming industry.
Build and maintain a credible and strong relationship with all relevant managers on the casino floor.
Educate and train all gaming managers and supervisors on crime trends and crime prevention on the casino floor.
To be able to integrate relevant legislation such as FICA, SETA and PROTECTA into daily operations and to ensure that relevant staff are appropriately qualified and trained to conduct their work on the casino floor.
Must have a thorough working knowledge of all surveillance equipment operational on the Casino floor.
Design and implement all required emergency drill in the case of emergencies and robberies.
Test all emergency drill on a regular basis to ensure that these drills are effective and that employees comply.
Ensure that the latest thinking and application regarding digital surveillance is applied on the casino floor.
Manage the surveillance team in an effective manner to ensure that the team does not feel isolated from the rest of the resort due to the nature of surveillance work.
Manage the scheduling of the surveillance staff in a fair and consistent manner.
Continuously grow the human capital of the surveillance team.
To be a key role player in the Risk Committee of the resort.
To manage the NRG process and the banning of individuals in a very responsible and sensitive manner.
To build a strong rapport with LCI in terms of industry risk, high profile investigations and crime pressure areas on the Resort. The incumbent should also leverage of the skills and knowledge residing in LCI.
To establish strong relationships with local authorities such as the Police, Disaster Management, Fire Brigade, etc
Qualifications:
· 3 years experience on a senior management level
· 10 years experience in security related industry
· B degree or 3 year diploma in Risk Management
· A-grade Psira qualification
