Supervises and coordinates staff Security functions for LOGCAP IV personnel in Afghanistan.
Principal Accountabilities:
Supervises daily activities of assigned staff to ensure efficiencies in�V compliance with corporate government contractual and legal requirements
Disseminate Force Protection information to workforce; ensure personnel comply with all military OPSEC and Force Protection rules and regulations
Implements and ensures proper security procedures are followed in accordance with the military regulations, DI��s policy and procedures and other applicable government regulations and directives
Develops and implements security�V procedures in coordination with government agencies and management personnel
Assist Site Manager as required.
Deploys to site(s) in preparation for phase-in of new contracts
Meets with security counterparts to facilitate implementing security program
Audits and initiates procedures to improve the existing security system as deemed necessary
Prepares, maintains and reports detailed records pertaining to control of classified matters, safes, keys, personnel clearance, badges, etc�K
Consults to various levels of management on military and contractor security issues
Conducts inspections to review security procedures; conduct security education training
Inspects all certified mail received for classified content
Serves as the site alternate communication security (COMSEC) custodian
Supervise daily activities of linguists assigned to the site
Supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
Supervise all duties of Security Coordinators, Security Specialist, Force Protection Specialist and Database Administrator.
Supervise the Badge and Screening process ensure information is inputted and exported through the Biometric Automated Toolset equipment.

Examine and re-engineer operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.

Maintain knowledge of HR, Code of Business Conduct, project & corporate policy and/or staff hiring procedures.
Must have intermediate knowledge of interview and investigative techniques and written report as related to security incidents.
Provide written & oral briefing information to senior management.
Give security education and instructional presentations.
Articulate with little guidance the security mission to site management and coordinate with the client and other government agencies to include host nation agencies.
Review, edit and scrutinize TVAs, Security Overviews, threat profiles and threat analysis.
Implement and direct loss prevention procedures, physical security postures, information security programs, personal security, and basic personal protection escorting missions.
Knowledge & Skills:
Knowledge of DoD Antiterrorism/Force Protection requirements
Prior Military Police, USAF Security Forces experience in austere locations.
Prior experience with Defense Biometric Identification Systems (DBIDS) is highly desirable
Able to obtain a security clearance.
Requires little supervision for multiple tasks assigned.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft applications.
Physical Requirements:
Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable. Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions. Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
Experience:
Typically eight (8) to ten (10) years security, leadership and management experience.
Four (4) to six (6) years experience in an Antiterrorism/Force Protection environment.
Experience in deployed Force Protection environment
Five (5) to six (6) years experience conducting formal inquiries regarding fraud & loss or any criminal act or violations.
Education:
Bachelor��s degree in an associated discipline. Two (2) years experience in Security field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.
