This position is located within the Programme Planning and Management Section, of the Mine Action Service within the Department of Peacekeeping Organization in New York.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Chief of the Programme Planning & Management Section, UNMAS, the incumbent is responsible for the following duties: - To lead planning of mine action programmes with UNMAS Programme Officer and field staff, and responsibility for the Standing Mine Action Capacity Portfolio. - To coordinate planning with other DPKO and OROLSI components, UN departments and UN agencies, funds and programmes. - Act as a technical resource for UNMAS Programme Officers.
