Job Requirements
Qualifications and expertise required
- B. Tech or Degree in Security Management or equivalent (Must)
- National Key Point Certified – currently or past(Must)
- Incident Command Course (Must)
- 01 to 02 years as a Manager Security Operations (Must)
Specific experience required
- 8 – 10 years’ experience as a Security Supervisor in an industrial security including security control system, crime prevention and investigation (Must)
- Medically fit for security function (Must)
- Code 8 Drivers License (Must)
- Diploma in Business Management (Wish)
- Previous exposure to the following meetings / bodies (Wish)
• Joint Planning Committee (JPC)
• Security Officers Liaison Forum (SOLF)
• Local Security Investigators Forum
• Sasol Security Managers Meeting
Personal Attributes
- Ability to function at different levels - Computer Literacy - Good facilitation and presentation skills - Can counsel/coach/mentor colleagues in own team, known environment/context. - Can operate without clear practices/processes/guidelines and with limited supervision. - Can develop new practices/processes. Influence other decisions and actions in own environment. - Can work independently in a structured environment (clearly defined work practices/processes). - Fully operational - Live the Sasol Values – Excellent Communication Skills - Problem Solving – Dealing with crisis – Decision making – Sound Emotional Intelligence – Effective communication – Interpersonal skills – Structural approach
