Reporting to the Director-Global Security Governance, the
Manager-Global Security Governance will work within the Barrick
Corporate Security Group and will be responsible for working as a
part of a global team reviewing compliance by Barrick security
personnel of company policies and procedures and investigating
instances of non-compliance. This role requires significant work in
the field with a diverse group of people on a global basis. The
position will include significant travel to operations, projects and
offices.
Responsibilities
· Lead or participate in complex internal investigations into actual
or potential breaches of internal policies or procedures;
· Assist the Director in developing and maintaining a global
governance group to provide compliance services for Barrick's
security operations globally;
· Provide feedback to operational security leadership where
procedures or operating methodologies can be improved;
· Obtain and manage information in compliance with Barrick
policies and procedures.
Education and Experience
· Undergraduate degree and a minimum of 15 years practical
experience in the investigative field within security, law
enforcement or military;
· Experience in managing complex investigations;
· Experience in the extractives sector is preferred but not essential;
· Experience in audits or investigations;
· Computer literacy;
· Experience with intelligence led investigations;
· Bilingual Spanish / English.
